Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg Jets, 2024-25)
Hellebuyck won his third Vezina Trophy in 2024-25, an accolade he accentuated by securing the Hart Trophy.
The Jets’ ace boasted a 47-12-3 record, a 2.00 goals-against average (GAA), and a .925 save percentage.
It was Hellebuyck’s third Vezina Trophy, and he overcame finalists Nikita Kucherov and Leon Draisaitl to pick up league MVP.
Carey Price (Montreal Canadiens, 2014-15)
The Canadiens came within three points of a first Presidents’ Trophy, finishing behind the New York Rangers, thanks primarily to Carey Price’s otherworldly play.

Dominik Hasek (Buffalo Sabres, 1997-98)
Dominik Hasek will forever be rated as one of the best goaltenders of all time, and he pulled off the improbable feat of winning both the Hart and Vezina in consecutive seasons.
In 1997-98, Hasek started an incredible 72 games, finishing with a 33-23-13 record. He had a 2.09 GAA, a .932 save percentage, and an outrageous 13 shutouts.
It was the most shutouts he recorded during his decorated 18 years in the NHL.
Dominik Hasek (Buffalo Sabres, 1996-97)
Hasek completed his first of two doubles in 1996-97, finishing with a 37-20-10 record, a 2.27 GAA, and a .930 save percentage.
It was Hasek’s first of two Hart Trophies, and his third of six Vezina Trophies. The Dominator started in 67 games, tied for the second most in his illustrious career.
Jacques Plante (Montreal Canadiens, 1961-62)
While I’m not diminishing Jacques Plante’s accomplished 1961-62 season, there should be an asterisk placed on top of his double-award-winning haul.
Before the 1981-82 season, the Vezina Trophy was handed to the goaltender who played at least 25 games for the team that allowed the fewest goals.
His stats and performance level ensured he won his first and only Hart Trophy, as he finished with a 42-14-14 record, a 2.37 GAA, and a .923 save percentage.
