Jonathan David, who bagged a hat trick against Qatar, will enter the match bursting with confidence. Even the slightest opening for the in-form striker could bear fruit.
And with its superior goal difference, Canada only requires a draw to secure the top spot. Playing in Vancouver also greatly benefits the home side, providing a boost for Marsch and Co.
Canada Has a More Favourable Travel Itinerary
Travel itineraries could also play a part in Canada topping Group B. Marsch’s team flew from Toronto to Vancouver after playing Bosnia and Herzegovina in its opener.
That’s where they will remain until the end of the group stage.
Each of Switzerland’s matches takes place in a different city, with Switzerland already having played in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
