- Dave Stieb has allowed the most home runs in Blue Jays history.
- Josh Towers has the worst HR/9 as a Jay.
- R.A. Dickey allowed 114 home runs in four seasons.
The Toronto Blue Jays pitchers with the most innings are inevitably among those who have given up the most home runs. A few others that consistently allowed hard contact also appear in the top 10.
Some pitchers played in eras when home runs were more frequent than others. Josh Towers, who played for the Jays from 2003 to 2007, has the highest home-run rate in franchise history, but at least part of that is down to how baseball was being played at the time.
Even pitchers with the shortest baseball odds to win the AL Cy Young will likely give up double-digit home runs in a season. Roy Halladay, for instance, conceded 26 home runs when he won the Cy Young in 2003.

Who Has Allowed the Most Home Runs in Blue Jays History?
Dave Stieb has allowed the most home runs in Blue Jays history with 224.
Stieb, however, has the second-lowest home runs per nine innings among Blue Jays pitchers with over 500 innings. Duane Ward’s 0.42 HR/9 mark is by far the best in franchise history.
Only three Jays pitchers have allowed more than 172 home runs.
R.A. Dickey, who was in the rotation when there were short Blue Jays odds to win the AL East in the 2010s, would have caught the top three if he had spent a couple more seasons in Toronto, considering he allowed 114 home runs across just four years.
