Stanley Cup Predictions: Who Will Win the Stanley Cup in 2027?

The Florida Panthers are enjoying a demonstrative offseason, signing Brady Tkachuk and Jacob Markström to take a familiar position as the Stanley Cup odds favourites at the BetMGM sportsbook entering the 2026-27 season. 

They are trading ahead of the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights, and Edmonton Oilers.

Stanley Cup Predictions 2027

I predict the Panthers will win the Stanley Cup for the third time in four seasons. Not only did the Panthers land former Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk, but they also secured the services of Markström.

While Markström hasn’t proven himself like Sergei Bobrovsky in the postseason, he has long been considered among the league’s elite netminders. And now, finally, he has the world’s best supporting cast to help him achieve his ultimate goal. 

The Panthers roster is the deepest and most well-rounded, and they have already showcased their playoff pedigree and unbreakable resilience.

They will enter the regular season with a fresh lease on life, with Brady Tkachuk, another former captain hell-bent on proving his character and skill set is tailor-suited for the postseason. Aleksander Barkov is healthy, and so too is Matthew Tkachuk. 

Brad Marchand, meanwhile, will want to leave an indelible mark as he will soon skate off into the sunset and call it quits on an illustrious career. 

I don’t fancy the Golden Knights as much under first-year head coach Ryan Craig, and I’m not convinced Frederik Andersen can stay off the treatment table long enough to lead the Oilers to the promised land. 

The Avalanche will prove the biggest challenge for the Panthers, and the Hurricanes have every chance of pushing the Panthers to the brink.
