The Texas Rangers have built a new stadium since then, however. Globe Life Field, which opened in 2020, is hosting the All-Star game for the first time. It also was the location for all six games of the 2020 World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers.
The venue has also hosted major concerts, including those by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Morgan Wallen, and Metallica.
How to Vote for the MLB All-Star Game
Fans vote for the starting lineups in the MLB All-Star Game. They can vote on the MLB website or app for the 2024 All-Star Game. In phase one of voting, fans select their choices for each position in both leagues.
Each ballot includes single selections for first base, second base, third base, shortstop, catcher, and designated hitter, along with three outfield picks.
The overall leading vote-getter in each league receives an automatic spot in the starting lineup. At every other position, the top two (top six for outfielders) progress to phase two of voting. This short window allows fans to vote once per day on MLB platforms to choose which players they want to see in the All-Star Game.
Pitchers and bench players are decided by the player ballot and selections from the commissioner’s office. Full All-Star rosters will be announced a week or two before the game takes place in Arlington.
The pennant-winning managers in the previous season are chosen as managers. Torey Lovullo of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Bruce Bochy of the Texas Rangers will get the honour for the 2024 game. This will be Bochy’s fifth All-Star Game as a manager, and his first for the American League.
