The Toronto Blue Jays are eight games below .500 and traded Kevin Gausman to the Cubs on Sunday.

Toronto’s baseball odds to win the World Series at the BetMGM online sportsbook are the fourth-longest in the American League.

Blue Jays World Series Odds

The Blue Jays’ World Series odds are +15000.

The Jays opened at +2000 to win the 2026 World Series. Toronto’s odds have lengthened throughout the season.

Sitting 13.5 games behind the division-leading Tampa Bay Rays on Aug. 3, the Jays have had a nightmare season so far. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been one of several players to underperform at the plate, fan favourite Gausman has been traded, and injuries have blighted the roster throughout.

After a spectacular 2025 campaign, Toronto is looking at a lost season in 2026, barring a major turnaround after the trade deadline. The performances of Dylan Cease and Louis Varland are two of the very few positives.

Blue Jays Playoff Odds

Toronto Blue Jays American League East Odds

The Blue Jays American League East odds are +35000.

The Jays are out of contention for the AL East, as their odds indicate. Toronto isn’t only 13.5 games behind Tampa Bay. The Jays are also 11 games behind the New York Yankees and 8.5 behind the surging Boston Red Sox, who have seen their AL East odds shorten significantly over the last few weeks.

Toronto owns one of the worst run differentials in baseball. The offence has struggled all year, and the pitching staff has been inconsistent outside of Cease, Varland, and Tyler Rogers.

Toronto Blue Jays American League Championship Odds

The Blue Jays are +6000 to win the American League.

Even after trading Gausman, there are bound to be some optimistic Jays fans that still think they can make the playoffs. Toronto is only 4.5 games behind the final wild-card spot, despite being given a 4.4% chance of making the playoffs by Baseball Reference.

It’s not completely out of the question that the Jays can sneak into the postseason. Moving on from Gausman makes them a far less formidable opponent if they are still playing in October, though.
