Jeter has also had 189 more postseason plate appearances than anyone else in MLB history. He’s the record holder for runs scored, hits, and doubles in the playoffs.
The top three players were members of the New York Yankees in the second half of the 1990s and 2000s. From 1995 to 2013, the Yankees missed the playoffs just once, including three consecutive titles in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
Unsurprisingly, Jeter, Jorge Posada, and Bernie Williams are among the top three.
David Justice, Manny Ramirez, Jose Altuve, and Yadier Molina are the other four players with 100 or more playoff games.
Altuve was the face of the Houston Astros during their run of seven consecutive ALCS appearances and two titles, while Molina was synonymous with the St. Louis Cardinals throughout a period where baseball odds consistently priced them as a World Series contender.
One of the greatest catchers of his generation, Molina reached the NLCS eight times in his career and went on to win the World Series in 2006 and 2011.
Albert Pujols, a longtime teammate of Molina, has the best OPS of any player on this list. The three-time MVP was on course to break numerous postseason records when he left the St. Louis Cardinals to sign with the Los Angeles Angels after the 2011 season.
Pujols ultimately played three postseason games between 2011 and 2021.
