Which Shortstop Has the Most Home Runs in MLB History?
Alex Rodriguez has the most home runs by a shortstop in MLB history with 696. The former New York Yankees infielder has 265 more home runs than any other player who primarily played shortstop.
As well as being a 14-time All-Star, Rodriguez was also a perennial favourite for MVP in Major League Baseball odds. He won the award on three occasions (2003, 2005, and 2007) and was a runner-up in 2002.
The 1993 No. 1 overall pick led the big leagues in home runs in 2002, 2003, and 2007. He had eight seasons with 40 or more big flies.
