1. Randall Cunningham
Suiting up for UNLV from 1982 to 1984, Cunningham finished with 8,020 passing yards, 59 passing touchdowns, 8,224 total yards, and 68 total touchdowns.
These are all school records.
He was a first-team All-American, a second-team All-American, a two-time PCAA Offensive Player of the Year, and a three-time first-team All-PCCA. The school retired his No. 12.
Cunningham is enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame.
2. Mike Thomas
Thomas played just two seasons at UNLV, but he had a massive impact, racking up 3,149 rushing yards (third) and 37 rushing touchdowns (first).
He held the rushing yardage record until it was broken in 2013 by Tim Cornett, who played at the school for four seasons.
Thomas holds two of the top three single-season rushing records, including 1,741 yards in 1973.
He was a two-time first-team Little All-American.
3. Ickey Woods
While Woods was at UNLV from 1984 to 1987, he didn’t get to really play until his senior season. Before that, he had 69 total carries.
As a senior, he had 259 carries for 1,658 yards and 10 touchdowns.
He ranks second in single-season rushing yards, fourth in single-game rushing yards with 265 in 1987 against Pacific, and is ninth all-time in rushing yards with 1,925.
He was the PCAA Co-Offensive MVP and first-team All-PCAA in 1987.
4. Jon Denton
Denton only played at UNLV for two seasons—1996 and 1997.
Denton recorded 6,177 passing yards (third), 43 passing touchdowns (third), 6,220 total yards (fourth), and 49 total touchdowns (fourth).
He holds the single-game passing yardage record, 503 in 1996 against San Diego State, the single-season passing touchdown record, 25 in 1996, and the tie for the most passing touchdowns in a single game, five in 1997 against San Jose State.
5. Kevin Thomas
Thomas was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time first-team All-Mountain West, and second-team All-Mountain West.
He played at UNLV from 1998 to 2001 and had 14 interceptions (second), seven of which were in 2001, a single-season record.
6. Adam Seward
Seward played at UNLV from 2001 to 2004 and recorded 433 tackles, the most in school history.
He was a first-team All-Mountain West and a two-time second-team All-Mountain West.
His 133 tackles in 2002 were third-most in a single season.
7. Ryan Wolfe
While at UNLV from 200 to 2009, Wolfe was the Mountain West Freshman of the Year and a three-time first-team All-Mountain West.
He also had 283 receptions (first) and 3,495 receiving yards (first).
