Mac McClung is the current favourite to win the NBA Dunk Contest in 2025 with NBA betting odds of -200, followed by:

• Matas Buzelis (+425)
• Andre Jackson Jr. (+475)
• Stephon Castle (+500)

I predict Castle will win the 2025 NBA Dunk Contest because he has the athleticism and creativity to shock the world.

Castle may have the worst basketball lines, but I predict he’ll use teammate Victor Wembanyama as a prop and do something that’ll blow up social media and possibly cause me to place a wager based on the live betting odds.

Mac McClung Dunk Contest Odds -200

McClung has won the past two dunk contests, as he had many gravity-defying dunks.

In one dunk, he literally took the ball out of someone’s hands and dropped it mid-air before putting it home and double-pumping the ball mid-air in another.

Of course, he topped off the 2024 NBA Dunk Contest by leaping over Shaquille O’Neal, who is 7-foot-1.

With a victory, McClung would become the first player to win three straight dunk contests and join Nate Robinson as the only player to win a dunk contest three different times.

Matas Buzelis Dunk Contest Odds +425

Buzelis bounced the ball and regathered possession midair while placing the ball through his legs during a dunk contest at the McDonald’s All-American Game in 2023.

I could see him attempting a similar dunk, but any attempted dunk would probably involve him putting his 6-foot-10 wingspan to good use.

The Chicago Bulls forward is a powerful breakaway dunker, but how he translates that into a dunk contest remains to be seen.

Andre Jackson Jr. Dunk Contest Odds +475

Jackson has an incredible vertical and doesn’t need much of a runway to take off.

It wouldn’t be shocking to see him attempt a dunk from the free-throw line, as he’s frequently taken off from a solid distance from the rim on dunks in transition during the game.

Having no defenders in his vicinity should help him take off from an even greater distance than he’s accustomed to.

Stephon Castle Dunk Contest Odds +500

It wouldn’t surprise me if Castle tried to dunk over teammate Victor Wembanyama as one of his attempts.

Some other attempts could involve a teammate throwing him an alley-oop lob and he’ll either try and dunk it over the 7-foot-3 Wemby, or do a 360 or windmill while midair. 

Any of these types of dunks would be even more impressive if Castle could take a pass off the backboard and finish it.
